Lisa Marie Mertz Williams, 58, of Weldon, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Don and Nancy Poteet Cox.

She is survived by her son, Brian Pooley and his wife, Brook of Roanoke Rapids; 2 grandchildren, Leah Brook Pooley and Bryson Thomas Pooley; 2 sisters, Pam Shorder of Akron, OH, Sheila Skidmore of Baltimore, MD; her best friend, Trevor Hux and her husband, Ernest; and her dog Rocky.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services.
